I'm in hot soup, or rather, hot fudge

I'm panicking!!! I seem to have lost my KH book from SPBT!!! Why am I panicking?? I could just buy a new book and replace the old one right?? The thing that worries me is the testimonial, or more specifically, my "Rasa Tanggungjawab". Losing an SPBT book is an irresponsible thing to do. What if I get a B for that??? I really want all A's for my testimonial. I'll wait until next Monday. If I fail to find my book, I have to tell En. Alim already. (Well, he's the one in charge of SPBT. That's what I think anyway)

"Why should you tell the teacher?? Billy, are you nuts?? Just go get a new book lah!!" should be the response of some of you out there. It might sound crazy, but I think it's the right thing to do. I must be responsible for my actions. If he decides to punish me because I lost one freaking book, I have to accept it. It is my fault for losing the book anyway. And also, what if I need to write anything, or sign whatever form confirming the replacement of the SPBT book or whatever?? I should do that before it's too late. And if I don't see the teacher in-charged, I won't be able to do that. Sigh... seeing my testimonial in jeopardy is one turning point in my life that I won't forget (don't count on that, I can lose memory quite fast). I checked the KH bengkel, no book, I checked my desk, no book.

Somehow, I just wish the whole thing that I typed above is just another one of my lame jokes.

Okay, so, I might be in trouble. What else?? Today I napped 4 hours!!! That's not a good news for me. I was supposed to nap for only 1.5 hours, or maximum of 2 hours. I ignored alarm and slept so long. You might not get why this is not good to me. I'm just worried that it might change my circadian cycle, or erm... sleeping cycle/rhythm. If that changes, my sleeping time changes, and who knows what might happen to me in the morning. I might get even more crankier. Now, my normal sleeping time:
  • On school days, including Koko days (scouts), that require me to wake up early in the morning, I'll sleep at around 11.00pm and wake up at 6.30am.
  • On holidays, my sleeping time will be indefinite. But, depending on my sleepiness, I'll sleep between 11.00pm - 1.30am, and wake up between 9.00am - 11.00am. I rarely wake up at 8.00am. I'll get hypersomnia during holidays, ie, sleep more than before.
If I slept for 4 hours today, I would have patched up my 4 hours of deprived sleep from yesterday. This is what I believe will happen, but obviously, science wont really back me up on this. I mean, it happens sometimes for me.
  • Tonight, I'll sleep at the same time, ie, 11.00pm. If my 4-hours-sleep side effect were to take place, I won't be able to sleep well. I'll get so tired in the morning. Then, I'll probably nap in the afternoon. After napping, I won't be that tired later in the night. So, I have to sleep a little late to compensate for that. Maybe at 11.30pm - 12.00am. That slight change of time can really influence my crankiness factor the next day. The possible things that can happen is:
    1. I might get lucky. Because I wasn't so sleepy, and I slept late a bit, and my hypersomnia didn't kick in, I might wake up feeling very ...okay. My eyes won't be drooping down. That's the one thing I'm aiming for. If I don't feel so tired in the morning, I'll reset my sleeping cycle, and my sleeping time will go back to normal. Actually, it could go back to 10.00pm, the normal time of sleeping last time. If I sleep at 11.00pm, everything happens again, but it doesn't really affect me much.
    2. This is the bad one, which I don't want to get. My hypersomnia suddenly kicks in. My compensation for napping will deprive me of 1 hour of sleep. My normal duration of sleeping due to hypersomnia is 10-12 hours. Sleeping at 11.30pm-12am until 6.30am is a total of 6.5-7 hours. Call that 7 hours lah, for easier calculations. Assuming my hypersomnia requires me to sleep at least 10 hours, this is the math:

10 hours-Amount of time slept+Amount of time deprived of sleep= Total amount of sleep deprivation

      10-7+1=4 hours of deprived sleep.

Now that's a lot!!! It's not going to be easy trying to reset my sleeping cycle. I've got to prevent myself from napping no matter how tired am I, so that at night, I'll be so tired, I can sleep early (10.00pm), and get at least 8 hours of sleep.

I know, everything sounds so complicated. And I have no scientific proof at all. Who needs proof?? This thing is only for me, and doesn't apply to everybody in the universe. The thing that caused me all those problems is my hypersomnia problem, my ability, or rather, my urge to sleep longer. It also cause me to get sleepy during the afternoon.

A blog for BLProductions products!!

I just suddenly had an idea of making a blog for my games, and whatever I made, and it came true. It's here: The Wonders Of BLProductions. If you wanna know the latest news on the development of the games (that I'm making), you can go see. There's nothing much over there, just blabberings on blah blah. Feel free to drop any suggestions or whatever in the CBox over there. Ciao!!

Ally for Mr Ball questioned...

I wonder if it's better to have ally for Mr Ball. Yes, I know it'll be much better since the enemy won't always target you but it's giving me a lot of headache. I just only made a crappy AI for Ms Roundy. It's incredibly buggy. Sometimes, the AI system stops working and she just starts running to nowhere, or even stand there and do nothing for very long. So, I thought, don't make allies for Mr Ball, for now. So, if you're expecting to have people helping alongside with you in the game, then too bad lah.

Okay, putting that aside, my to-do list for the weekends:
  1. Wrap Sejarah Book
  2. Study pg 125-130 of Sejarah Book
  3. Draw the peta konsep in pg 120 into Note Book
  4. Finish up Maths h/w
  5. Complete the documentation for the electronics project
  6. Solder my electronics project
Yeah, that's a lot. So, I thought I should do 1,2,4, and if possible, 5 today and continue the others tomorrow.

Hmm... what else can I say. Okay, I'm in the middle of making Mr Ball - The Dungeon game. It's a spin-off from the normal Mr Ball Arena game. It's 2D (I'm using Game Maker 5, which doesn't support 3D, for this since my Desktop computer has an "issue" with Game Maker 6). It's a find-your-way-out type of game, or simple put, a maze game. But it's not the type you see in your kiddie-kiddie books where you use your pencils to trace out a path to the end. That's way to "ol' school"!! When you start a level, you won't be able to see the entire maze. It's all shrouded. So, you'll have to explore. Along the way, there'll be puzzles to solve and have to find keys to open doors. There'll be enemies, but I've taken out the gun from Mr Ball. (That means you won't be able to shoot!!). You'll just have to avoid them. Also, there won't be a HP/MP system like the original Mr Ball game, but there is the "Lives" thing. You start off with 5 lives. Touch an enemy and die instantly, but you won't game over until you die 5 times. I'll try to make it as hard as possible (especially for David!! Must make more incredibly hard puzzles!!).

Okay, why am I even making such a crappy game?? You see, my hobby is just thinking out some weird ideas for my games, and suddenly, I got inspired by Tales of Phantasia. If you've played it, you'll probably hate a place called the Morlia Gallery. It's some sort of a maze, and also in some levels, the whole place is dark and you can't see one freaking thing. So I thought, why not make one game like that?? And since Mr Ball is my trademark character, I might as well use it for something.

Ms Roundy's alive!!

Okay, who's Ms Roundy, I hear you ask. She's Mr Ball's partner !!(can't really call as gf/bf because they are not meant to be, according to the story, but this may be subject to change). I'm planning to have allies for Mr Ball so the battles will be much more easier. The problem is, the AI is a little dumb (except that it knows when to heal other allies when they are hurt). The main thing it does is, run towards targetted enemy, shoot, run away, ... The AI doesn't know where to run when it's running away, it just aimlessly run to a point. Still, this is a major achievement for me. I've never made such a sophisticated game system before. I hope this game doesn't get scrapped later in the future. It took me 5 days to finish until this AI part. What I'm left is the AI for other characters, then I'll start making the magic thingo-majingos and the so-called special effects. After that, the foundation for the game is finally finished, and can start building up the levels.

diarrhea is driving me mad!!

Yes, that's right. I'm having diarrhea (for about 30 hours already, can say about 1 1/2 days). Strange. I've never had a diarrhea for that long (except for the time I had a very bad food poisoning). I can't say it's due to food poisoning for my current pooping problem, why? The only symptoms I'm having are
  • Dehydration
  • Disgusting-looking poop
Yeah, that's all, no fever, no blood in poo, nothing too serious. But I also can't entirely rule out food poisoning as the cause. There might be a chance that this is a mild case of food poisoning. I can't really remember much of my dietary history. Hmm... Dang it. I hate diarrhea soo much. It's so disgusting and doesn't really feel nice to the @$$. Ahh...this reminds me of Opera Baby!!

Cute right?? And while looking for that video, I found this as well:

School's gonna reopen again...

That doesn't sound very pleasing, does it?? 2 weeks of holiday is not long enough to satisfy my needs. I want more. After this, the only 1 week holiday left for all school people is in August, after that is the countdown to PMR. My god, how time flies!!! Yesterday was somewhat a busy day for me, well, at least in the morning-afternoon period. I had been assigned a lot of chores by my mum (well, actually 3 chores!!). Being the "good boy" that I can ever be, my to-do list was quite long (emphasis on the quotation marks!!). What I did yesterday was:
  • Draw the map for kawasan kajian. Took me about 1.5 hours to finish.
  • Wash my shoes. I speed-washed my shoes, so can't say it's sparkly clean, but at least I washed it!!
  • Attempted to vacuum the floor, but to my relief, the dust-bag or whatever you call it is full and I got to find another one, which miraculously has gone missing in my house. So I skipped that in my to-do list. Lol.
  • Mopped the floor in my kitchen. I think I poured too much Clorox in to the bucket of water. So I was quite scared of getting corrosion on my skin.
  • Redrew the lakarans for KH.
  • Touched up my Geo project. (It's just about 90% done)
  • Look for the atlas of Canada.
Okay, that's actually a lot for me. I've never done so much in a day. I usually procrastinate when it comes to these things!!

Play a prank on your buddy!!

Okay, I found this nifty prank to play on your enemy buddy!! Okay, what does this prank do?? Glad you asked. When you hold down the right [CTRL] and press [SCROLL LOCK] twice, you'll manually initiate a Blue Screen Of Death, or commonly known as a System Crash. If your fingers are starting to itch, then you may continue reading. But please note: I will not be responsible for any damages, accidents or problems that may arise on your computer.

Before you begin reading the technical stuff, if you're not familiar with Windows Registry, read this part first. Otherwise, continue on to the next part. Windows Registry is just a place to store settings lah (Well, that's what I know about it). You're gonna change some registries after this. Pay attention to what you're changing because altering the wrong settings can really make your computer go nuts. I'm not trying to discourage you or anything lah, it's just to show that you should be careful when altering the Windows registries.

I've tried this on my old desktop computer, but unfortunately it didn't work. Dunno why. But you can try. Remember, you're gonna cause your system to crash (but it is a harmless crash, since it is not associated with any error, just your good ol' itchy fingers that caused it).

Technical mumbo jumbo coming up:
  • Go to Start->Run
  • Type regedit
  • In the registry editor, go to these keys (the things that look like folders. Just open those folders like how you open the folders in your Windows Explorer):
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    2. SYSTEM
    3. CurrentControlSet
    4. Services
    5. i8042prt
    6. Parameters
  • On the right side/panel (the place with the Name, Type, Data thingies), right click and select New>DWORD Value.
  • Rename that new DWORD Value to CrashOnCtrlScroll.
  • Double click that DWORD Value and set its settings: In the value data text box, type 1.
  • Restart your comp
  • After restarting, press the right CTRL key and SCROLL LOCK twice to crash your comp.
What happens when it crashes? It shows you the Blue Screen of Death which is, you've guessed it, Blue in colour!! Sometimes, you won't be able to see it because your computer is set to restart when the system crashes. I'm lazy to type how to set your computer NOT TO restart during a crash. It's all in here: http://www.tweakxp.com/article37502.aspx

Oh and by the way, I found out why it didn't work for me. I was holding down the Left Ctrl key. Bummer!! LOL!!

Please note that this prank only works for Windows XP (as far as I know).
