Tales of Phantasia!!

Okay, this is a little out-dated, in some way. I've been playing the PS1 version of Tales of Phantasia (ToP) since last week. I got the emulator (by the name of ePSXe), the ToP ROM and the translation patch (I can't read Japanese words) all from the net. Took me awhile to download the ROM since most of the bandwidth (well, I hope I used this term correctly) has been used up by the laptop in my house (my sister was downloading something big in the laptop using a Download Manager). It's around 200+ MB. My usual transfer rate of 100KB/s dropped down to about 20KB/s.

I love playing ToP, ever since my sister introduced that game to me when we had the SNES Emulator on our computer. ToP is the first game in the Tales of series. Very nice. The battle system is unique as well. In the remake of that game for PS1, the graphics are much better. I just love seeing the special effects of the magic spells and blah. I might try to incorporate some into my Mr Ball game. I think it has also been rewritten for PSP.

I think ToP is one of the earliest RPG games I have ever played in my life. I think lah, but I'm not very sure. Hmm... let's see, what other RPGs did I play...
  • Pokemon
  • Seiken Densetsu
  • Super Mario RPG (love it)
  • Ranma 1/2: Akanekodan no Hihou (I'm not sure what's the meaning of it, but it's quite nice, I guess)
  • Tales of the Abyss
  • Tales of Eternia (with my sis)
  • Tales of Destiny (again with my sis, currently playing now, but don really get the Japanese)
There's still more I think, but can't really think much now.
