I am asked to do a report on the Science and Math week. Why report? Why can't it be something simpler? Anyway, it seems that my PE teacher didn't come, so there wasn't any exercises today, like what I was expecting yesterday. Not that I want it. My Malay teacher also didn't come, so everyone was happy. Today, there were 6 free periods. I played Bingo with Xing Yao and Fiona today during BM periods. But instead of shouting Bingo when someone wins, we used other words like "Bitch", "F***U" and stuff which I dare not mention here. *blushes*
Yeah, we played "Bingo". It was very amusing. We used numbers ranging from 1-50, but suddenly Fiona said 53, and everyone was like WTF?? and then we laughed until we get abdominal pain. I wonder where did that 53 come from? Haha. Tomorrow is Interact Orientation Day. Can't wait to go. Whoa, 7 points for co-curriculum. That's a lot. I really want it!!! Hopefully, I won't get raw egg everywhere around my face. I have no idea why we need to bring raw eggs anyway.

Yahoo... Untitled... Again...
Ah... two more days to Interact Orientation. Oh yeah, it seems that the scouts camp has been postponed to 21st of March. Dang it, why that time? I have to go to a precious home with, hopefully, friendly children and not children that give you that evil stare when you go there. Sigh, have to tell my form teacher to write a letter then.
Didn't go for house practice today, because

OMG... So much pressure!
Whoa, the interview was very scary. I was so nervous until I couldn't answer many of their questions. Some of them I even used "Err... I'm not so sure". Oh no, I'll probably fail. Ah, nevermind, I must maintain my "optimistic" self.
So, leaving that aside, I also went for my science quiz to day. Can't really call it a quiz, it is more of like a game. Hopefully my class will win (hopefully lah. So challenging questions). Oh, just wondering, can anyone search for me what is the longer name for chlorophyll (if there is one), if it isn't too much trouble? Bryan, Neil and I read this question about "what's the green pigment present in the leaves blah blah blah" and the first thing that came to our mind was "chlorophyll" but that was too short to fill up the boxes in the crossword puzzle. If anyone were to know, place is as a comment here or just type it in the CBox over there at the side -->
Thanks.

Health problems... the biggest hurdle of life
Few days ago, I heard from a channel in Astro that say Lydia Sum has just passed away. I was like "What? How the hell??? What happened?". I used to like watching her act and also watching her game shows. They are very funny. It seems that she died of liver cancer (according to Wikipedia, that is). It was very sudden.
To some of you who doesn't know her by her English name, she is also known as "Fei Fei" or "Fei che", by the way, those are the cantonese pronouciation of her nicknames. In mandarin, it is written 肥肥 and 肥姐. (You'll need Chinese Language support to see the Chinese words)
How did I really get the news? OK, when I came back from school, and do all the things I must do (eat, bathe, etc...), my father was watching TVB Xing He (ch. 314). I came out of my room and saw everyone crying and glum on the TV (I have no idea why there's this TVB8 logo on the screen eventhough the channel is TVB Xing He). Then suddenly, I saw a big portrait of the dearly departed. By then, my father was already out of the house to work. Everyone in the show was talking about her and when they mentioned her name, it reminded me of my grandma. I felt really pity for her. I was like "Oh my god, got to tell sister...". Yeah, so my sis was also like "WTF???"
If you read in Wikipedia about her, (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lydia_Shum#Health_.26_death) the story is really tragic. She had so many complications.
I really didn't know about her health problems until I find out why she died. She looked very healthy when she was acting. In the end, her family decided that her life support should be taken off, and they sit by her bedside in the hospital. This almost happened to my grandma as well. The doctor told my family that her life support is to be taken off if she doesn't recover in 2 days. But my mother rejected that idea and my grandma stayed alive for 1 more week. Still, the loss of a great mentor and a great actor are some of the saddest moments in my life (yes, there's still more sad moments, but I prefer to keep them to myself). It's not that I like Lydia Shum as much as I like Miley Cyrus or Raven Symone, but then her death just reminds me of my grandma's death. Both had health problems. It's just sad lah, ok.

Untitled... Again...
Hmm... This Friday... Founders' Day!!! And I'll have to wear my scouts uniform throughout the day and "forced" to stay back in school till evening. Hopefully I can cope with the stuffiness and the heat while wearing that uniform. (no hard feelings okay, dear scouts. I'm not trying to insult the uniform okies??) Oh, then next week, there'll be a camp. Whoa, can't wait for cultural night, or Malam Kebudayaan. The coolest night with a big campfire. Really love to see people doing strange and amusing performances. Too bad though, Interact club Orientation is on the day of the Cultural Night (well, day time at least), around 7am to 1 pm. I'll have to check out of the camp then check in again. I'll have to change from my scouts uni to the erm... official... Interact club t-shirt and a pair of Bermuda pants. I love those pants, the are well "ventilated" ya know. Oh wait, what am I talking about??? Ahem... so anyway, after the orientation, I need to change back to my scouts uniform again. Very ma fan leh. What a troublesome life I have. Sigh...
Anyway, the game that I'm currently making now needs some touching up, since the "secret boss" has a very stupid AI - Does not know how to attack sometimes and just follows you around. Very stupid indeed. Just recently found out that my game (with all the Music and other stuff) is as large as 75MB!!! BTW, the MP3's are the ones taking up all that space. The game itself is just a harmless 7MB. Want a comparison of 75MB with other things found in the comp?

- It is ±7% of 1GB
- About 52 times larger than a 1.44MB Floppy Disk
- About 2.5 times larger than Windows Live Messenger
- It is 11 times smaller than Maple Story (I don't play, okay...)
- 21 times bigger than the Macarena MP3 that I have on my comp

Nodame!!!
I love watching Nodame Cantabile!!! You should try watching it too... Wahh, the music, the orchestra, so nice. Can't wait to watch the two special episodes of the drama series. Awhh... Nodame and Chiaki are meant to be with each other. There are sooo sweet and cute together. Wait, am I suppose to say that???
Anyway, leaving that aside, I have nothing else to say... Haihz.... Well, that's it for today. Err, bye. Are you still reading? There's nothing else to read. OK, fine. If you really like reading that much, might as well take out a story book now. Come on, click the address bar and go away. I'm doing you a favor here. You've just wasted about 15 seconds of your life by the way.

The sound of the piano...
Wahh!!! Me wants a piano. Even though i am a noob at playing it, but i am slowly learning it by asking some of my friends to teach me. Piano so fun!!! I love it. After watching Nodame Cantabile (the drama series and the anime) with my sister, it really inspired me to learn piano. Too bad i couldn't get one. I wonder if my cousin sister still needs her piano. If not, I hope they can give it to me. However, i don have much space in my house. All messy. *cries*
Piano... I love you!!!

Drama is so cool!
Yahoo!!! I finally became a waiter, well, maybe a temporary one. And I danced macarena!!! So nice. Heyy macarena, hai...!!! Wahh, soo nice. Everyone had fun. I can see smiles everywhere. Didn't hear any boos, so i guess we were okay. Can't wait for english week. I think there is going to be another drama.
Anyway, to end my post, here is the Christmas remix of the Macarena song. (Yup, I'm obsessed with Macarena. Heyy macarena... hai...!!!)

Ahh... drama...
Drama competition is tomorrow. Love dancing Macarena, it is just so funny. At least this time, the play looks better than last week, but seems to me that improvements can still be made. Hopefully tomorrow, everyone will do their part properly.
Leaving that aside, valentine's day is coming. Wonder what should I do. There's this oral test thingie on that day. Why valentine's day? Why??? Valentine's day suppose to be a day of love and, possibly, hate (hopefully no one gets dumped by their GF/BF on that day). Haha.

CNY is almost here
Yup, like what the title said, Chinese New Year is almost here. Hmm... too bad I only have one red t-shirt, but who cares, I'm gonna buy some more. Oh, and then there are the ang pows. Also got Mandarin Oranges!!! All my favourite things about CNY.
But, hang on there... before I get all carried away, I do have some things to do during the holidays. Sigh. (Curse you, homeworks!!!). Ok, here goes:
1) I have to at least try to finish up Panas Salju
2) I have to make an essay for the editorial board "interview" in my school. Some sort of an "enrollment" assignment... what should I write about anyway???
3) Oh then there's the oral test that I should be preparing for... hmm... I'll gonna say that I admire myself... it's the simplest idea i could ever think of. I know myself very well (I think), so I can tell a lot about myself, the problem is the picture of myself...
4) Then I have to think of the BM drama act. Kinda frustrating. Really pity Audrey... she's really trying her best to really train us up for the play, but it seems that a lot of the background actors/actresses are not cooperating, or at least, that's what I think. I guess the dancing part is kinda fun. And I get to be a waiter!!! Yahoo...
right... 4 things... that's not a lot right??? Whaa!!! *cries*

Mr Ball
(Yes, I know, the title sounds stupid)
Anyway, nothing much happened today apart from standing for 2 hrs and 20 minutes under a cloudy sky. I've been trying to get the video of my game onto youtube but always get screwed up. I find this one has better quality than the others, but the sound isn't quite good. Sigh...
OK, I made this game using the nice little tool named Game Maker 6.1 (oh Mark, you are such a genius). You'll know why it's name "Mr Ball Arena" when you watch the video. I just made this game for fun and not to rival with other games from those big big companies (obviously, this game is just too simple to compete). There's no storyline (like RPGs) and can be considered an action game. What are you supposed to do in this game, you ask? Well, just hold down the [Ctrl] button and shoot the diamond. Simple eh?
Just like some fighting game and some RPGs, there is a HP and MP system. This video only highlights a few levels in this game, but there are a total of 8 levels. There's one more level called the Secret Battle (in some way, it's secret). You can't access it unless you finish the game first. That should be an easy task since you can skip levels (yes, i made the "Skipping levels" thingie for debugging purposes only and will be "taken out" later, but decided to keep it). After finishing the last level, you'll get instructions on how to gain access to the secret battle.
About the graphics.... they aren't that pretty, are they? You see, I can't draw things very nicely on the computer that's why I drew simple sprites. Oh, and why choose spheres and diamonds? It's because those shapes are actually pre-defined shapes in Game Maker.
Anyway, that's all I can say. I'm almost finished with the game (I can't really spend too much time on it since PMR is coming). If you wanna play it later (not sure why), just tell me and I'll give it to you. The videos are on the little side bar somewhere at the near the bottom of the page, i think. But it is the last side-bar-element thingie.
The second video is the secret battle demo. It's harder than it looks. I made two modes, one Normal mode, and one ridiculously-insanely hard mode which is probably more fun than the boring "Normal" mode, unless of course you hate fighting almost-impossible-to-win enemies. (That explains why when you start Secret Battle, you have 75 lives, which is 15 times more than the normal amount of lives). I used one of Persona 3's (another PS2 game, which my sister plays) boss battle themes here instead of the usual Kingdom Hearts II BGMs.
Hope you like it. (Sorry for the bad sound quality)
